Life back in Norway
Tuesday morning - On my way to a job interview!!
One month has passed and I am now trying to establish myself in Oslo - the capital of Norway. To be honest, it has not been easy, even though I enjoy every second with my family and my friends. Norwegians are known for oil, fish and... for being a little cold. I can now understand why foreigners in Norway are having a hard time living here. The culture is just so much more different than from Spain. When you meet people for the first time you get a cold handshake with 1 meters distance. You cant smile to people you dont know, that means you "might be hitting on them", and lets not get started on the cafe and restaurant life that i have been living for 3 years now. IT HAS TO BRUTALLY stop!! Im not complaining , but its just so much more different than I remembered. To be social on a cafe or a restaurant here, costs a fortune. But what is nice is our gatherings in the house where we cook together and enjoy bottles of wine and catch up on the 3 "lost" years with my girls.
Well, with that being said, it is understandable that I have needed some time to wash away the "Catalan Mia" , inorder to fit in here. Now I am applying for jobs and hopefully I will get something very soon. Thank God that my friends Ole, Ray and Elin also moved back to Oslo after our life in BCN! We are gonna turn Norwegian fashion on the head. Just wait and see.. And you might ask yourself, Norwegian fashion??? Yes darling, we have something called Norwegian fashion aswell - now its just OUR job to get it out there!!
Long live our life in Barcelona, I cant belive Im not going back there.
